I think we'll see something with Planet Salad in the near future. Basically an excuse to bring in a whole new breed of Saiyans besides the handful we've already met in ToP and get Goku and Vegeta back on a Saiyan homeworld. It'd be like if Planet Vegeta were still around.

Goku has now reached a state that's basically god-level or even beyond that. The angels are the next reference/anchor-point. Goku will reach angel-level in some future arc, that's basically written in the stars. But personally i wouldn't mind they wait some time with bringing the next power-up. The next arc may be a more simple adventure down on earth or on some weird planet in a yet-to-be-discovered universe.

I am somehow missing on the adventerous side Dragonball had in the beginning. Becoming stronger once was one of the many ingredients. At a certain point the show decided to concentrate on the power-ups. The other ingredients were somehow abandonned. Goku also has this side on him of the simple and playful man, making a god or an angel of him (too soon) doesn't fully exploit the character and is somehow paradoxal.

And why no arc without the main focus on Goku and Vegeta? They are the strongest characters. If you always put the focuss on them, you are basically asking for power-ups. DBZ season 4 to 6 has low 'Goku- action time' compared to other seasons, but it's still upon the best in my opinion the Dragonball-franchise has ever made. The Garlic Jr-arc had no Goku or Vegeta, but it was still damn good for a filler arc. I am missing those 'side-adventures' that dare to abandon the mainstream Goku/Vegeta-storylines for a while to explore other domains.

Now that I think about it those other universes weren't in the tournament because they have higher mortal ratings meaning they're more developed. So chances are there wouldn't be much conflict going on in those universes. So idk how anything exciting can come out of exploring those universes
Considering they where surprised that characters like UI goku and jiren existed within the smaller mortal level universes makes it seem like the 4 exempt universes have people like UI goku and jiren power level wise. That and how no one straight up said jiren > all the gods. And the statements around him are still being vague like whis saying the rumor may be true key words may be. so im still on the fence of who the mortal is. I still think they are trying to make us think its jiren.

That would basically mean: Goku has reached a state even Gods can very diffcultly obtain (UI) and Jiren still is a lot stronger than that state but still is not the mortal Whis is referring to.

I'd like to see an arc where Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo and the androids are captured or somehow taken down without fighting. A truly smart villain and their rescue is in the hands of the Yamcha, Goten and Trunks.

Let those characters shine and develop.

I'm not even joking.

I'd love a Yamcha saves the multiverse mini arc but nobody knows or believes he did it.

Jiren dose not need to be stronger then every god to be above UI goku and same goes for the gods. UI dose make you stronger but someone without it can be stronger still.
